NWA State Agency Membership

NWA State Membership is comprised of the Directors of each of the 50 U.S. state and 37 Territorial and Native American WIC programs.

In addition, NWA’s Nutrition Services Section is comprised of the Nutrition Coordinators for these 87 programs.

State Directors and Nutrition Coordinators receive all of the benefits of NWA membership including:

  • A direct link to NWAs Washington office with up-to-date information on legislation, funding and policy regarding the WIC program. Members recieve the Association's newsletter, NWA Monday Morning Report, and have access to resources such as NWA's WIC Local Agency Directory.
  • Access to a network of other interested, knowledgable and committed individuals/groups working in or with the WIC program.
  • The opportunity to work with a national organization as a member, state, regional or national representative, or member of NWA's Board of Directors.
  • The opportunity to serve on NWA committees, working to influence and establish policies and positions of great importance to their state WIC programs.
  • Reduced registration fees for NWA conferences, seminars, and workshops with a proven reputation for presenting top-of-the-line speakers, valuable sessions on nutrition and health-related issues and the latest trends in efficient and effective services provision.
