It's Not Too Late to Renew Your 2021 NWA Membership

Whether you joined us in 2020 or have been a member for decades, we thank you wholeheartedly for your support and engagement with the National WIC Association (NWA) over the years; particularly over the 2020 year; which had us all face many incomprehensible challenges. We hope our partnership was useful to you.

If you have not yet continued your membership for 2021, it is not too late. Renew today! There is a grace period for membership so your benefits will not lapse immediately. We will alert you as soon as that grace period is ending.

NWA’s Participant Advisory Council: Applications Open

NWA is launching a WIC Participant Advisory Council, where WIC participants will consider how to best improve, streamline, and modernize the WIC experience. Council members will serve as consultants to NWA by providing their expertise on the WIC experience to develop program and policy priorities and recommendations.

To serve on the Participant Advisory Council, applicants must:

  • Commit to serving on the council for at least 1 year;
  • Have participated in WIC for at least six months;
  • Be a current/former participant in the WIC program OR the caretaker of a former/current WIC participant; and
  • Not be currently employed by the WIC program.

Members of the Participant Advisory Council will receive a stipend, an individual membership to NWA, and a complementary NWA conference registration. Please share this opportunity widely with your community, colleagues, WIC clinics, and with WIC families in your community. Applications can be completed here.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to NWA’s State Public Policy Associate, Noora Kanfash, by email at nkanfash@nwica.org or by phone at 202.719.5129.
