Program Director

Plymouth WIC (Plymouth, MA)

DUTIES: Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Health Intervention & Prevention Services, the Program Director is responsible for the overall administration and management of Plymouth WIC program and its satellite/mobile locations. Duties include:


  • Ensure and increase access to WIC services by identifying trends and issues, monitoring reports, evaluating, and making decisions based on data
  • Establish and build collaborative partnerships both externally and within HI South Shore and Plymouth Regional office team to maximize client access to all programs
  •  Ensure high quality internal customer service and external vendor compliance
  • Plan, implement and evaluate program operations to ensure compliance with federal, state and HI policies and procedures
  • Develop outreach and referral networks in conjunction with community coordinator and senior nutritionist reflective of state WIC needs assessment priorities
  • Define and sets clear expectations for staff roles and responsibilities including setting schedules and hours of operation that reflect participant needs
  • Hire, provide supervision, train and evaluate community coordinators & program assistants
  • Hire, evaluate, and provide regular supervision for senior nutritionist, and assists senior nutritionist in hiring and evaluation of nutrition staff
  • Ensure staff have up-to-date knowledge and skills by regular conducting regular staffobservations, facilitating timely and relevant communications, and staff participation in trainings, conferences and meetings
  • Act as liaison between the State WIC office and HI and with community providers
  • Attend agency, WIC, and community meetings as required and appropriate
  • Other duties as needed
