About the Positions and Office of Nutrition Services
The Office of Nutrition Services mission is to create opportunities for people with limited resources to make healthy nutrition choices. The Research, Analysis and Evaluation Unit supports the office and its mission through research, data analysis and program evaluation that contribute to effective program management.
Reporting to the Research, Analysis, and Evaluation Unit Supervisor, these Research Investigators perform statistical analysis, program evaluation, and research related to the administration of the Women, Infant and Children Nutrition (WIC) program, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – Education (SNAP-ED), and Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP). These programs create opportunities for people with limited resources to make healthy nutrition choices, thus supporting the Department of Health mission to protect and improve the health of all people in Washington State. The results of these analyses are used to guide evidence-based decision making by office management.
There are two (2) openings for a permanent full-time Research Investigator 2 (RI 2) within the Division of Prevention and Community Health, Office of Nutrition Services – Research, Analysis, and Evaluation Unit. This recruitment may be used to fill other RI 2 positions within the unit.
