NWA Opens Access to National WIC Campaign for All WIC Staff

December 8, 2023

As of 2024, WIC Agencies will no longer pay to participate in the R&R Campaign; it is included in their NWA membership. NWA has shifted focus away from paid advertising and is focusing solely on delivering the Campaign's highest-valued resources to our members—educational opportunities, social media content, outreach materials, and support for WIC staff. Agencies can still run paid ad campaigns, and NWA can assist in connecting them with a third-party agency.

New Model, New Member Benefits

With the R&R Campaign as part of the member package, all State and Local WIC Agency staff can benefit from its resources! Here’s what is included:

  • WIC Branding: All State and Local Agencies can use NWA’s national WIC branding.
  • Outreach Materials: All WIC staff can access seven years' worth of marketing materials, ads, social media content, videos, graphics, and more.
  • WIC Share Portal: All WIC staff can access the Portal where all resources are stored.
  • National Events: All WIC staff can participate in annual events like National Enrollment Week and National Breastfeeding Month and will have access to promotional materials.
  • Educational Opportunities: NWA will offer monthly webinars about general communications and outreach topics, like social media, graphic design, best practices, media relations, and more.
  • Technical Assistance: WIC staff can request help with communications and outreach needs, including social media strategy, media relations, technical issues, and more.

What Is Staying the Same?

Not every aspect of the R&R Campaign is changing. These benefits are still included:

  • Social Media: NWA will continue to release monthly social media toolkits with content for WIC agency use. The "WIC You Got This!" social media accounts will continue to be updated, providing agencies with shareable posts and examples of how to post. See the Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter pages.
  • Marketing Materials: WIC staff will have access to new and existing marketing materials and can request customizations based on their Agency’s needs.
  • Outreach Toolkits: NWA will continue to update the Health Care Provider, Community Partner, and Media Outreach toolkits with new materials and updated information.
