In this next “Meet the Board” spotlight, Jessika Free-Bass shares her journey from WIC participant in North Carolina to her current role as Indigenous Representative on the National WIC Association Board and Chair of the National Indigenous and Native American WIC Coalition. With a deep commitment to uplifting Indigenous communities through culturally responsive care, she reflects on her path to leadership, the upcoming launch of the Indigenous Storytelling Campaign, and her vision for WIC’s continued advocacy and impact nationwide.
This interactive workshop will include opportunities for peer learning, facilitated discussions, and insights into successes and challenges of FMNP implementation across the country. Attendees will leave with practical tools and actionable strategies to enhance access and impact of WIC FMNP in their states and communities.
