NWA Board of Directors (BOD) meetings are typically held quarterly in May (Spring), July (Summer), October (Fall), and January (Winter). NWA is governed by a twenty-eight member Board of Directors comprised of State and Local Agency WIC Directors, State Nutrition Coordinators, a representative from the Indian & Native American WIC State Agencies, and six officers.

The NWA 2018 winter BOD meeting will be held in Washington, DC at the Westin Georgetown Hotel from Tuesday, February 27 thru. Friday, March 2, 2018. Please note that the Executive and Finance Committees will meet on Tuesday, February 27 and the full board on Wednesday February 28 thru. Friday, March 2.
The BOD meeting will preceed this year's Annual Washington Leadership Conference, scheduled from March 4 - 6, so plan your travels accordingly if you are planning to attend both.

You can make your hotel room reservations by calling 1-800-228-3000. Identify yourself as a NWA Winter BOD Meeting attendee to receive the negotiated room rates. The cut-off date for this room block is Monday, January 29, 2018 at 5:00 pm EST. The negotiated hotel room rate is the 2018 Federal Per Diem currently set at $201 for February and $253 for March single/double per night, plus a nightly room tax of 14.8%
Please note that this Per Diem rate may change after October 1, 2017.
The BOD meeting dates are from Tuesday, February 27 thru. Friday, March 2, 2018. Attendees making room reservations outside these dates, may have to pay the hotel's prevailing room rates. Note that the average nightly room rate may be over $300.00.
Please note that NWA does not have any control over the hotel room types. To request a particular room type, you must discuss this with the hotel's reservations department when making your room reservations.
You may cancel your room reservations three (3) working days prior to your arrival date without penalty and a cancellation number provided. If reservations are cancelled within 3 working days prior to your arrival, your first night’s room deposit will not be refunded. Check-in time is at 4:00 PM and check-out time is at 12:00 Noon.
The Westin Georgetown Hotel is located approximately 5.45 miles from the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, an approximate 10 minute ride, by taxi or shuttle. Also, Metro is accessible from the airport. Take the BLUE LINE heading towards Largo Town Center. Your stop will be the sixth stop at the Foggy Bottom/GWU Metro Station.
