The Division of Community Nutrition seeks an individual to fill the position of Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Liaison (BPCL). The BPCL assists the State Breastfeeding Coordinator with the day-to-day coordination of the statewide Breastfeeding Peer Counselor program. Characteristic duties include technical assistance and training, program evaluation, policy analysis and development, coordination of resources, and maintaining Breastfeeding Peer Counselor staffing records. Responsibilities are carried out based on a work plan developed by or approved by the supervisor. Thorough knowledge of principles of human lactation and service delivery methods required. Clear communication skills are necessary. Prefer International Board Certified Lactation Certification or equivalent combination of education and experience. WIC experience preferred.
