This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by advancing the health and well-being of California’s diverse people and communities. As a member of the WIC Systems Integration Branch, this position serves as part of a team that provides support for various technologies that support and improve the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program services.
The incumbent works under the general direction of the Chief, Change and Contract Management Unit, Staff Services Manager I (SSM I). The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) is responsible for integrating and supporting the WIC Program by assuring boxed software addresses the needs of the WIC local agencies and families. The AGPA supports and represents the SSM III by attending assigned internal and external workgroups and committees to ensure local agencies have modern and innovative products and tools, such as learning management systems, auto-dialer, online education, and audio/visual conference calling. The AGPA interacts with WIC management, specialized program and operations staff that advance WIC services to local agencies.
