Description
The Wilson County Health Department has an immediate opening for a Nutritionist II in the Women, Infants And Children (WIC) Program. WIC is designed for pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children under five years of age who qualify. This program provides supplemental foods, breastfeeding education, nutritional counseling, and healthcare referrals.
Compensation: The starting salary for a fully qualified Nutritionist II begins at $40,224+ a COMPETIVE BENEFITS PACKAGE.
Hours: 8:00 am- 5:00 pm, Monday- Friday. Extended hours and weekend work may be requested or required for special events and/or programmatic needs.
Description of Work
The Nutritionist II will report to the WIC Nutritionist III Director. The Nutritionist II will provide nutritional services for clients in WIC and Women and Children's Health Programs at the Wilson County Health Department in accordance with state and federal regulations and guidelines.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum Education and Experience
Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetics Registration; or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, or Nutrition; or graduation from a Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education- approved Didactic Program in Dietetics and two years nutrition experience; or Dietetic Technician, Registered with the Commission on Dietetics Registration with a Bachelor’s degree in any subject area from an accredited four-year college or university and two years nutrition experience; or a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition or Community Nutrition from an accredited four-year college or university and two years nutrition experience. In order to be considered for this position, Candidates should provide documentation of registration status from the Commission on Dietetic Registration, provide university or college transcripts or CADE verification statement.
