Policy Analyst

CDPH – WIC (Sacramento, CA)

This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by advancing the health and well-being of California’s diverse people and communities. As an employee of the Communications, Food and Vendor Policy Branch, the incumbent serves as part of a team that monitors, improves, and implements local and statewide policies which protect and serve Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program participants, vendors, and local agencies.

The incumbent works under the general direction of the Chief, Vendor Policy and Regulations Unit, Staff Services Manager I (SSM I). The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) performs the more varied and complex technical analytical staff services assignments related to policy analysis. The AGPA researches, analyzes, develops, and writes state regulations and policies. The AGPA participates in work group assignments by developing, revising, and implementing the WIC Division vendor policies, procedures, and regulations. This position may require up to 5% statewide travel, with possible overnight stay(s).

This position is eligible for telework in accordance with CDPH telework guidelines.

This position is primarily a remote centered position (telework), with an occasional need to report to the office based on business needs.
