This individual will be responsible for all supervisory duties including, but not limited to, hiring and selection, developing performance plans, conducting performance appraisals, planning, and directing their work, approving leave, and taking disciplinary action as appropriate. This position has major administrative and technical responsibilities for planning, coordinating and supervising the work of the Nutrition Section, which includes the Local Operations Unit, of the Bureau of WIC Program Services. Oversees the operation of the WIC Dietetic Internship Program, breastfeeding program, Loving Support Breastfeeding Peer Counseling Program, and data review areas supervised by Nutrition Program Director. The incumbent serves as the State WIC Nutrition Coordinator as identified in the USDA Federal Regulations 7 CFR, Part 246. This position is 100% supported by the federal Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) grant.
