Statewide Trainer

CDPH – WIC (Sacramento, CA)

This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by advancing the health and well-being of California’s diverse people and communities. As an employee of the Local Policy and Health Programs Branch, the incumbent serves as part of a team that provides monitoring, training, support for and collaboration with regional local agencies that serve Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program participants.

The incumbent works under the direction of the Chief, Local Services Training Unit (LSTU), Staff Services Manager I (SSM I). The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) performs the more responsible, varied, and complex technical analytical staff services assignments related to assessing, planning, writing, testing, implementing, evaluating, and updating training courses and materials for state and local WIC agency trainings. The AGPA travels statewide up to 45% of the time conducting training at regional training centers and local agency sites.

This position is primarily a remote centered position (telework), with an occasional need to report to the office based on business needs.
