The person in this position shall serve as the Pasco Regional Coordinator for the Florida Department of Health in Pasco County Dietetic Internship. Assure ACEND accreditation standards, policies, and procedures are met utilizing data driven decisions for the Pasco Region. Coordinate the curriculum map of the didactic components and supervised practice in Pasco region. Recruit and collaborate with preceptors and practices sites. Mentor students to attain core competencies for entry level dietetic practice and develop improvement plans for students identified at risk. Maintain DI program documentation including but not limited to program evaluation, student evaluation and grades, preceptor credentials, and facility agreements for the Pasco Region. Teach profession-specific courses in the program, review and grade assignments and exams. Precept as needed. Participate in activities for professional growth and continued competence as a dietetics professional and educator.
Provide scheduled dietary assessment, education and counseling to homebound and congregate care clients according to the established Elderly Nutrition Program guidelines. Develop and maintain client schedules, charting, and documentation. Provide appropriate healthcare and other referrals as part of customer-focused service delivery. Has responsibility for the privacy and security of client information and medical/ nutrition records. Conduct quarterly site visit inspections, annual employee training, attend advisory council meetings, complete menu reviews, and report food service complaints. Participate in billing for nutrition services.
