This is a benefit-eligible full-time position working 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The position will be based in the Hardin County WIC office on Mondays and Wednesdays and the Putnam County WIC office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between office locations. The rate of pay for this position is $21.39 - $30.05/hour, depending on education and experience. The WIC Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the health and well-being of women, infants, and children by providing program coordination, client support, and community-based services.

Responsibilities:
Coordinates and supervises all aspects of clinic operations according to Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and Agency policies and procedures.
Performs duties of a WIC Health Professional as scheduled and Health Assistant duties as needed.
Provides individualized nutrition assessment, counseling, and education to participants, and prescribes tailored food packages.
Refers participants to other health and social services and provides appropriate follow-up to referrals.
Supervises assigned WIC Health Assistants at the site, including orienting new staff and monitoring/evaluating staff performance.
Maintains accurate participant records including the Nutrition Care Plan, Welcome to WIC, and other records as needed.
Maintain monthly and quarterly program activity reports and caseload management.
Provides breastfeeding support and assistance.
