QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university with a major in Nutrition, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Human Services or a similar area of study; AND

At least 5 years of experience in Nutritional Health; AND

At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience.

DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR JOB DUTIES:

In the Department of Health, Human and Veterans Services and reporting to the Department Administrator, the WIC
Manager is responsible for oversight of the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program. The WIC Manager
will develop, prepare, and present program proposals, analyze the nutritional needs, the problems and resources of Wayne County and establishing long and short term priorities and goals. The WIC Manager will also develop and monitor implementation of local policies; manage evaluations and federal audits; implement and monitor applicable
recommendations; monitor clinic operations and evaluate policy compliance, monitor caseload; participate in the budget
process; monitor current and proposed sources of grant funds and analyze outcomes to monitor success and maintain
compliance. The WIC Manager will direct and approve the development of departmental policies and programs;
establish and maintain cooperative relationships with educational, research, and other nutrition related public and private
agencies, and plan and participate in staff development and in-service training program. Other duties will be assigned as
necessary.
