WIC Nutritionist

Comprehensive Community Action Plan (Cranston, RI)

CCAP is currently seeking a full time nutritionist for the WIC program which is located in both Cranston and Coventry.

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides federal grants to states for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age 5 who are found to be at nutritional risk.


Responsibilities include conducting patient nutritional assessments and evaluations in the clinic, developing and monitoring nutritional care plans and food packages. Duties include provision of nutrition counseling based on WIC counseling standards, care plan development tailored to meet client needs.
