Executive Assistant to the President & CEO

National WIC Association (Washington, DC)

The National WIC Association (NWA), located in Washington, DC, seeks a full-time Executive Assistant to the President and CEO to join its diverse team of eighteen dedicated professionals. NWA is a high-impact non-profit, member organization that represents more than 2,000 service provider agencies that offer quality nutrition education, breastfeeding support, health care and other social referral services to women and young children in over 10,000 WIC clinics nationwide.  

The successful candidate will be an experienced, reliable, and task-oriented multi-tasker, with exceptional organization and interpersonal skills. The Executive Assistant will work directly with the President & CEO and will be responsible for performing a number of administrative duties as well as supporting the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

Executive Responsibilities for the President & CEO Support

  • Manages calendar of President & CEO, this includes scheduling and managing appointments, meetings, conferences, speaking engagements, and virtual meetings.

  • Manages detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas.

  • Works closely and effectively with the President & CEO to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.

  • Supports President & CEO in preparation of internal and external presentations.

  • Manages President & CEO's requests and queries promptly and appropriately.

  • Maintains confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

  • Other duties as assigned by the President & CEO.

Board Support

  • Maintains the Board of Directors and Executive Committee meeting calendar.

  • Supports Executive Committee to coordinate board meeting logistics, develop board training materials, board books etc. 

  • Maintains board contact lists. 

  • Maintains resources on board online community.

  • Supports both virtual and in-person board meeting logistics.

  • Supports Annual Business Meeting logistics.

  • In collaboration with the Director of Finance and Administration, manages the board meeting budgets. 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant reporting directly to senior management.

  • Advanced skills using virtual meeting technologies (Zoom, Microsoft Teams etc), virtual calendars.

  • Strong organizational, schedule management, project management, and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Salary Range

$65K - $80K
